The Percorso Natura, entirely on the left side of the Panaro river, starts in Modena Est from the Sant’Ambrogio bridge and runs for almost 34 km, crossing San Donnino, Spilamberto, Vignola, to reach Casona di Marano on the Panaro. It can be traveled on foot or by bicycle. In Vignola, the Percorso Natura follows the Panaro skirting the swimming center area, and on the left side of the river, it reaches the Bridge of Marano. The path allows immersion in the river landscape characterized by the presence of willows, poplars, alders and a great variety of shrubs, including hawthorn and dogwood. The different aspects of the river bed are characteristic, marked by successive phases of erosion, deposits and sediments; there are also walls and artifacts built in different eras to defend the waters.
